LICENSE PLATE MONEY TO PAY ENTRY FEES

The Washington State Wrestling Foundation (WSWF) board of directors has allocated the funds necessary to pay the individual 2025 National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) Conference and Nationals entry fees for all State of Washington college wrestling teams.

The NCWA allows each college team multiple weight class entries at the conference championships but only two per weight are allowed to qualify for Nationals.

The NCWA Northwest Conference tournament will be hosted on Saturday, March 1, by Washington State University. The top five men in each weight class will qualify for nationals as well as six additional coaches' choice wildcards. All women who compete qualify to compete at nationals.
Men's and women's nationals will be held in Bossier City, LA from March 13-15.

The entry fees are $50 for each event. The WSWF expects to pay out about $6500.

The license plate revenue from 2024 was $7,854. There are additional funds available from previous years which allows us to pay the overage for these entry fees plus the additional $1500 checks written to Evergreen Men , Evergreen Women, and Big Bend Men. The WSWF’s only stipulation is that the head coach and/or a club officer of each program have a license plate on one of their own vehicles.

Currently, there are 253 wrestling plates registered in WA. We obviously need more plates out on the road. This will allow us to help our college programs even more, plus advertise our sport of wrestling.

Thank you to everyone that has a plate which allows us to support our teams.
